The school operates a comprehensive assessment program that includes regular formative assessments during lessons and progress assessments at the end of topics completed in class as well as summative assessments that are taken at the end of each term.
Diagnostic tests will be completed at the start and end of the academic year using internationally recognised assessments that will include GL, NGRT and CAT4 tests. Tests will be used by teachers to plan suitably challenging lessons for all students to ensure that each learner is able to progress at a pace that is right for them.
NB: Ability describes a student's capacity to learn, independent of what has been achieved. NWEA's tests and reports do not measure or report a student's capacity or ability to learn.
At its heart, TSPS is committed to ensuring its students have access to the very highest quality learning experience.
