Founded in 2004, The Sheffield Private School (TSPS) is a British School in Dubai driven by the vision of becoming the leading affordable British style school in Dubai.
TSPS offers the National Curriculum for England giving students access to a unique, culturally relevant curriculum. We enhance student learning through an enriching extra- curricular programme, which provides opportunity for every child to succeed – known as the Ultra-Curriculum.
We recognise the importance of preparing our students to become global citizens and providing them with an education that is meaningful and relevant to their personal, social and academic aspirations. TSPS provides learners with an active and engaging experience that embraces 21 st century skills and recognises that these skills are essential in an ever- changing world. We aim to Bahraini and expatriate students to become the next generation of scientists and scholars as well as leaders of their countries, raising aspirations amongst our community members to make a significant contribution to the local and global economy.
Students begin their educational journey in Foundation Stage 1 (FS1) where they follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. From Year 1, students move to the English National Curriculum, enhanced and adapted to take account of our multi-cultural student body and our status as an international school. In Years 10 and 11, students’ study for IGCSEs accredited by Cambridge International Exams (CIE), AQA and Edexcel examination boards. We also offer a range of vocational BTEC First courses for students who want the option of just course work leading to a qualification rather than examinations. In Years 12 and 13, students have the choice of a wide range of AS and A Level subjects along with some BTEC options.
