The aim of sport at The Sheffield Private School is to provide as many opportunities
as possible for all children of all abilities. The programme offered in physical
education, swimming and games is firmly based on participation. The department
organises an extensive range of competitions which take place throughout the year.
Athletic development is key from the earliest age, with sport-specific skills being
introduced through the school at the appropriate ages. The wonderful facilities,
expert coaches and experienced teachers are utilised to the full in preparing for the
main team games. Many pupils will represent the school in fixtures with other
schools as well as competing very successfully in National and International events.
